Silvia Fazekas earned an MA in English and German from the University of Innsbruck, Austria. While studying she spent a semester at Nottingham Trent University, England. Her academic interests include contemporary American literature from the South and teaching German as a foreign language. In 2003 she taught German grammar and cultural studies at Ovidius University in Constanta, Romania. After completing her MA in 2005, Silvia worked as a teacher of German and English at a secondary school and high school in Lienz, Austria.
